Pattern: document collection

Help users find forms, policies and reports by grouping documents clearly.

Use document collections for MG forms, prison policy frameworks, Prison Service Instructions, inspection reports and other grouped documents.

When to use this pattern

  • The user is looking for a specific document.
  • The collection has enough items to need grouping or search.
  • Each item needs a summary, file type, date or status.

Avoid

Do not put every document on one long unstructured page. Users should be able to scan, search and understand what each document is for.
