CJH aims to meet WCAG 2.2 AA as far as possible, even where public-sector accessibility regulations do not directly apply.
Minimum checks
- Keyboard navigation works without traps.
- Focus order follows the visual order.
- Text has sufficient contrast.
- Forms have visible labels and useful error messages.
- Images have meaningful alternative text or empty alt text when decorative.
- Pages use one H1 and logical heading levels.
Content accessibility
Use plain language, explain acronyms, avoid long blocks of text and provide easy-read versions where the content affects people with learning disabilities or cognitive impairments.
