Criminal Justice Hub provides general information and reference tools. We cannot provide legal advice, representation or casework for individual cases.
We cannot:
- advise you about evidence, pleas, sentences or appeals
- confirm a prisoner’s release date
- contact a court, prison, police force or probation service on your behalf
- intervene in a criminal case, complaint or official decision
- pass messages to somebody in prison
Do not wait for a response from us where a court date, appeal, complaint or other legal deadline applies.

Criminal Justice Hub is not an emergency service.
Call 999 if somebody is in immediate danger or a crime is taking place.
