Marydale Lodge is a secure welfare home run by Nugent in St Helens. It brings together care, on site education and health support for children placed by local authorities, with support shaped around individual needs.

Ofsted's inspection in June to August 2026 rated all assessed areas Good. Inspectors found staff building trust, children making educational progress and health professionals adapting support sensitively. They recommended improving children's access to religious support and professional learning for teachers. This report replaces the earlier Outstanding judgement.
