Clayfields House is Nottinghamshire County Council’s secure children’s home in Stapleford, taking children through youth justice and welfare routes. The January 2026 report describes accommodation for children aged 10 to 17, with on site education and health support.
The January 2026 assurance inspection found no serious or widespread concerns about care or protection. Children reported feeling safe and able to talk to staff, and inspectors noted better cooperation between care and health teams. They also found weaknesses in recording and oversight of restrictive practices. The last full inspection, in August 2025, had rated the home requires improvement; an assurance inspection does not replace that overall judgement.
