Aldine House is Sheffield City Council’s secure children’s home in Dore. The July 2026 inspection describes welfare placements under section 25 of the Children Act 1989 for up to ten children aged 10 to 17, with education and health support on site. This differs from older descriptions of the home’s placement mix.
Ofsted rated children’s overall experiences good in July 2026. Inspectors highlighted positive relationships, individualised support and cooperation between care, health and education teams. Leadership required improvement; the home had lacked a registered manager since December 2025 and management oversight needed strengthening.
